Remote Learning
This information is intended to provide clarity and transparency to pupils, parents and carers about what to expect from Remote Education at St Elizabeth Catholic Primary School when Government Guidelines require individuals, or entire cohorts, to remain at home.
Three Models For Remote Learning
There is a national or local lockdown resulting in St Elizabeth being closed to the majority of pupils, except key worker and vulnerable pupils
Access At Home
We recognise that some pupils may not have suitable online access at home. We have undertaken the following steps to support those pupils to access remote education:
Additional Support For Pupils With Special Educational Needs
We recognise that some pupils, for example, pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), may not be able to access Remote Education without support from adults at home.
Pupil Wellbeing
We recognise that, whilst pupils are away from school, their overall mental health and wellbeing are of paramount importance. The school will carry out welfare checks as well as promoting ‘screen free afternoons’ where pupils are encouraged to take some time each day away from a screen to engage with their environment and the people around them.
