Be aware that come September 2015 that workaround to a recent Chrome restriction on plugin extensions will no longer work, when further restrictions are planned to be implemented. Hopefully by then QNAP (and many other manufacturers in the same situation) will have made some updates to the plugin that will conform to the new Chrome security model.

I'm a newbie here and with my TS-251 and 2x 5tb in RAID1. I've a new fully wired network at home now that I remodeled my place. Now after adding this NAS to centralize things, I find I couldn't access my wired IP cameras locally via the IE webui. Got really frustrated and then I remembered I have a mac mini as my media server.

Thanks Alastair- I surfed a lot last night and both learned a lot and it spawned a lot more questions which I will try to put in proper threads. Oh, I wish I were home to try some things and to check others to address my questions better. Oh well, soon. Maybe I should start a new thread, but here goes.

When I would first run IE11 on my laptop and go to 192.168.1.101, it prompted for me to install that flash.
