This web site is for use by UTD students, faculty, staff, or other UTD affiliates. Unauthorized use is prohibited. Usage may be subject to security testing and monitoring. Misuse is subject to criminal prosecution. Users have no expectation of privacy except as otherwise provided by applicable privacy laws.

How do I connect to Utd VPN?

Connect to the Global Protect Open the GlobalProtect VPN client on your machine, enter the Portal Address as utdvpn.utdallas.edu, and select Connect.

How do I connect to Utd WIFI?

Legacy Guest Wireless Open your preferred web browser and you will be directed to a “Terms of Use” page. If you are not sent to the page, enter https://guestwireless.utdallas.edu in the address bar. Enter in the provided user name and password. Click Submit.

Is Utd online or in person?

At UT Dallas, It's the Student's Choice for Fall 2020. The fall semester will begin Aug. 17 at UT Dallas with online, in-person and hybrid learning options for students.

What is Utd Net ID?

Your NetID is a network account used to access campus computing resources. The NetID usually begins with your initials followed by numbers (e.g., abc123456). Your NetID is associated with a network password used to authenticate for most UT Dallas resources. You can update your password at netid.utdallas.edu.

Does UTD have free WiFi?

CometNet is available in all non-residential buildings on the UTD campus. All academic buildings and areas such as the Student Union and the Library have CometNet WiFi available for use. Sign in with your NetID and password.

Current and Former Students Your UTD-ID will be on your UTD Comet Card and can be found in Galaxy under Orion Student Center > Profile. If the number on your Comet Card only has 8 digits, you will need to add 20 in front of your UTD-ID when you enter it.

How do I access my UTD email?

You can log in to UTD email at https://outlook.office365.com/owa/?realm=utdallas.edu.

How long does it take to get UTD-ID?

Applicants/Students: Your UTD-ID was emailed from admission@utdallas.edu 1 to 3 business days after you applied to UTD. It was sent to the personal email address you listed on your application form. Please check your spam/junk folder if you can't find it.

Can't connect to CometNet?

If you are encountering issues connecting to CometNet, you may want to try updating your wireless drivers. You can do this by visiting your computer manufacturer's support website or updating it here if you have an Intel wireless card: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005634.html.

Why is Myresnet not working?

ResNet connections can be administratively disabled for a number of reasons: copyright violations, a compromised machine, or missing critical security updates on your computer.
