What's new to VUMC?
New to VUMC? The VMWare Horizon Client is the Virtual Desktop used to access eStar. You do not have to be connected to the Virtual Private Network (VPN) to use VMWare, however if you have other applications open that require the use of the VPN, you will need to leave it connected.
How do I Reset my VUMC ID or password?
VUMC employees with a valid VUMC ID and password can reset a forgotten password by choosing Existing Users and I Forgot My Password. If you have forgotten your password and need assistance, contact the VUMC IT/NTT Help Desk at 615-343-HELP/3-4357 to begin the re-authentication process. Vanderbilt University users can go to VU Identity.
What is VUMC VPN and how does it work?
This service, in conjunction with Multi-Factor Authentication provides a secure link from the user’s computer to the VUMC network and preserves data confidentiality and integrity when information is transmitted from a remote location. How do I connect to the Vanderbilt network?
The solution allows you to connect to the Vanderbilt network via a VPN client software or web browser capable of using SSL encryption. The SSL VPN allows access to Vanderbilt systems and computing resources with an internet connection in a safe and secure fashion. The Pulse Secure VPN client is now available to all Vanderbilt faculty and staff.
